The healthcare providers associated with the George Washington University Department of Neurology and its Headache Center have continued to see patients throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Along with providing service to the GW Hospital and emergency room, the department’s physicians and nurse practitioners are seeing new outpatients and managing established patients.
We are doing so via a system that offers both convenient telemedicine appointments wherein patients communicate with the provider from home and in-person appointments in our 2150 Pennsylvania Avenue clinic when there is a need for face-to-face evaluation. For the latter, we have in place a meticulous system that minimizes infection risk for patients and providers alike.
